Which type of stay suits you?
Kids' hotels are built around families: childcare, play areas, kids' buffet and often baby equipment in the room. Holiday parks offer cottages with their own kitchen and big indoor pools – ideal if you want to eat on your own schedule. Farm stays are all about animals, nature and space. All-inclusive resorts pay off especially in school holidays with older kids when child discounts apply.
Checklist before booking
- Family room or suite with a separate sleeping area instead of an extra bed
- Cot, high chair, kettle – free or for a fee?
- Childcare: from what age, how many hours, included in the holidays?
- Pool: is there a shallow, heated children's pool?
- Cancellation: with little ones, book flexibly – illnesses often strike at short notice.
